Zero One was a beautiful and unique cinematic expansion of the LGBTQ voice. How beautiful was it to look at a film and see so many different people being represented.
Zero One proves that Nick Neon is a fresh new voice in LGBTQ+ film who has a lot on his mind and the skills to get those thoughts on screen. Zero One is at once funny, sad, smart, silly, and always visually poppin'.
Pink and blue flow through these two films, Ultra Bleu and Zero One. I assume the pink as the theme color of Jimmy's inner world: his thoughts (look at these annotations and nicknames he gave people) and his fantasies (the NYE party).
